Arkansas House District 15 runs through the heart of Rogers, from the edge of the Promenade at one end to the edge of downtown at the other.

The district doesn’t include those landmarks, but it’s home to Rogers High School and the library, busy streets and quiet neighborhoods where around 30,000 people of all ages, skin colors and backgrounds live. This is home. In a county with no Democratic representatives, it’s also one of the most competitive and winnable districts around.

Our current representative, John Carr, has spent three terms in office as a rubber stamp for all of the Republican Party’s bad ideas:

• Taking away our rights to direct democracy.

• Attacking LGBTQ people and taking over public libraries.

• Requiring sheriffs to partner with ICE, making us all less safe.

• Forcing religion onto public school walls while siphoning away public school dollars.

And when it comes to introducing his own bills, his biggest priority has been to try to make sure he’s listed first on the ballot. (How very Trump-like of him.)
