About me
I’m a writer, photographer and native plant grower who’s lived in Northwest Arkansas for a decade and in District 15 for four years.
For most of my adult life I’ve worked as a journalist, covering all levels of government and other important issues across the U.S., listening to people of all stripes, and learning about every topic that I could. My career included five years at the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and a stint at the Northwest Arkansas Council, where I worked as its first recycling program manager. I know how state government works, and I know how it can work better.
Nowadays I’m primarily a small business owner, growing native plants for gardeners, landscapers and conservation groups across NWA in my own nursery as well as providing portrait, event and art photography on the side.
I earned a bachelor’s in psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a master’s in geography at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, with a focus on climate and green infrastructure. I live in south Rogers with my husband and our two dogs, and I love to hike.
I look forward to connecting with you and, with your help, protecting the people, places and principles that we care about most.
